Funerary Preparations — The Bonfils Mortuary and Crematorium will come to you to begin arrangements, including recovery of the decedent. We will transport them with respect and care to our premises to begin preparing them as you see fit for your needs. This includes cleaning, dressing, make up and hair, for any wakes or viewings you wish to hold. We will also prepare them for burial or cremation as appropriate.
Wake Arrangements — While The Bonfils Mortuary and Crematorium wishes we could cater to each of your funerary needs, we do not have the appropriate spacing or wakes or celebrations of life. However, we do have affiliations with many locations, including chapels and other such venues, to which we can refer you. We will handle arrangements for any transportation of the decedent that might be necessary.
Cremations Our facilities are outfitted with the appropriate equipment and staff necessary for carrying out respectful cremations. Remains will be returned to those responsible for arrangement of funerary services via delivery or they may be retrieved from our establishment. We have a selection of finely crafted urns from affiliates in Eorzea and abroad available to our clientele.
Burials While we cannot offer cemetery plots or mausoleum spaces, we do have a selection of handcrafted caskets available from our affiliates to suit the many needs of our clientele and the deceased. Entrust The Bonfils Mortuary and Crematorium with all burial preparations and transportation to your chosen burial grounds.

LADY CLARISSE BONFILS was a notoriously private, genteel woman of Ishgardian high society. Much speculation surrounded the Lady Bonfils, regarding her family, her marital status, and, mostly so, the nature of her chosen work. The Bonfils Mortuary and Crematorium had been in Lady Bonfils family for many generations and when her parents bore no sons, many expected that ownership of the family business would pass hands. Lady Bonfils would hear no such thing, staunchly refusing to relinquish her family legacy. Though many frowned upon a Lady running such a dour business, it was notable that the business never seemed to wane.No one can say for sure when or where from Lady Bonfils got her ward, young Judicael Corvin. At not quite thirteen summers, those that encountered the lad said that he was well spoken, polite, and deferential to the Lady Bonfils. By the time he'd earned his seventeenth summer, Judicael was often seen running the Lady's errands for her. The two lived in harmony in the Bonfils Estate, tending to their own ventures as well as the mortuary together. Judicael became an expected fixture at the latter, taking over the day to day tasks of running the mortuary as Lady Bonfils grew in years and preferred her solitude.It wasn't quite a shock, but no less tragic when word was spread that Lady Bonfils had passed due to illness. Judicael oversaw the arrangements for her funeral and interment, said to be a lovely and touching service. It was not at all a shock when Lady Bonfils' will named Judicael as her sole heir, bequeathing the Bonfils Estate as well as The Bonfils Mortuary and Crematorium to him.In the years since, Judicael has run the mortuary as was done before him in honor of the late Lady Bonfils who gave him a home.
